According to the Consortium, the Vaccine Confidence Advisory Committee (VCAC) is a key component of the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium’s COVID Vaccine Confidence Project, a partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Through their collective knowledge of public health, nursing, and safety net healthcare, the VCAC aims to lift up the voices of underrepresented communities, including communities of color, individuals with disabilities, and other special populations, and raise awareness of the barriers around equitable vaccine education and access. These issues are highlighted through the vaccine confidence content being disseminated through a six-part podcast series, online trainings, as well as an upcoming national media campaign.

Dr. Millet’s research interests include disaster nursing, community/public health nursing, and nursing administration and leadership. She helped organize and run the LSU Health New Orleans COVID Vaccination Clinic.
